Gutter Guards in Hoffman Estates, IL

Do guards really work?

Stainless micro-mesh vs. foam and plastic

The question we get most often: do guards actually work? The honest answer is: it depends on the guard. Foam and plastic inserts from the hardware store clog. Stainless micro-mesh stops pine needles from getting through.

We install only stainless micro-mesh. We measured the job before we quote it. The owner rides along on every install.

1. Measure at the house

We measure every linear foot before we quote. No phone estimates for guard installs. We look at the gutters first.

2. Written quote, same day

Written quote sent the same day, usually within a couple hours of the measure. We explain what the warranty covers before you book.

3. Install with the owner present

The owner rides along on all guard installs. We do the work start to finish.

4. Twenty-year no-clog warranty

Written terms on the stainless micro-mesh guards. We tell you what is covered before you sign anything.

Why we don’t install foam or plastic guards

Foam inserts absorb water and grow mold. Plastic inserts let seed pods and pine needles through. Both need to be cleaned out just like open gutters, often more often. We saw enough of them fail on customer homes that we stopped carrying them entirely.

Which homes need guards most?

Homes in Barrington and Palatine with mature tree coverage, especially where there are pine trees nearby. If your gutters clog three or more times a year, guards are worth the conversation.
